channelSUITE™ is a collection of
functional modules (e.g. channelLEADS™, channelMARKETER™,
etc.) built on top of a shared software base
that controls the functions common to all
modules, such
as access control, navigation, branding,
etc. Each channelSUITE module can be used
by itself, but
has the ability to coordinate with other
channelSUITE modules when purchased, in order
to share data
and eliminate duplication of effort for both
the partners and the channel administrator.
The channelSUITE software architecture is an
N-tiered design, with a front-end high-performance
web server handling communications with users
and managing such overhead functions as access
control and session management. The channelSUITE
application code processes requests from the web
server and coordinates with a back-end relational
database system through a database-independent
middleware layer.
Hosted Support Model
channelSUITE™ is a pure
web solution, maintained by Purplewire on our specialized
servers. We provide
and maintain all of the necessary infrastructure
including web and database servers, Internet
bandwidth,
firewalls,
and data storage. We supply the expertise
and labor needed to run a reliable, secure, and highly
interactive
extranet facility: database administration,
security
planning and monitoring, 24/7 server uptime
and performance monitoring, security patches, data
backups,
and server
and bandwidth upgrades. Unlike most pure
ASPs (application service providers), channelSUITE
can be
significantly
customized to suit the marketing needs and
business process requirements of each customer.
Infrastructure: Security, Performance, and Reliability
channelSUITE™ runs
in a highly robust, high performance Unix-based
environment with high-availability features
such as mirrored data disks and redundant
power supplies. An automated system provides
24/7 automated
server,
network, and environment monitoring with
wireless notification of on-call support
staff.
The channelSUITE
multi-layered security architecture incorporates
security measures at the network
perimeter, in the server infrastructure,
in data transmission, and at the application
level. These layers of security cooperate to provide
protection of the critical data against a
broad
spectrum of security threats. The channelSUITE
security regimen includes routine system
upgrades, continuous security monitoring,
ICSA-certified
firewalls, automated intrusion detection,
key-card
physical access, IPSEC VPN access for remote
system support, role-based application security,
and SSL encryption of user passwords and
data during data transmission. Purplewire’s
senior staff has extensive experience in
establishing and implementing computer
security procedures in commercial and DoD classified
environments.
